‘Tis the night before Christmas in 1886 at the home of Sherlock Holmes, the famous detective. His partner, Dr. Watson, dressed as Santa Claus, is preparing to present Christmas gifts to the niece and nephew of Mrs. Hudson the housekeeper. Shortly after Mrs. Hudson and Dr. Watson depart, Holmes is visited by good friend Lord Widcombe. Lord William is hosting a Christmas party for guests with a sack of precious jewelry, wrapped in 20-pound notes, to be given as gifts. A threatening ransom note has been delivered, written by a familiar hand – MORIARITY! Detective Holmes agrees to attend the party disguised as Father Christmas to apprehend Lou the Lisper, working for the dastardly criminal Moriarity. In a series of comical events, the two sacks of Christmas gifts get switched. Amid the excitement of the holiday, Christmas carols, a visit to the Disciples of the Octagonal Square headquarters and more, a happy ending is found at last.
Join the talented voice actors of Gem Radio Theatre for their annual holiday radio play, presented by Tannery Pond Center on Saturday, November 30 at 7pm, and Sunday December 1 at 2pm.
